Michele isn’t a wine-label designer by trade — he’s a cartoonist. Born in Bolzano in 1969, he published his first cartoons in local papers at fifteen and later drew for Cuore, Italy’s satirical weekly, through the ’90s. Since then his work has run through advertising agencies, national newspapers, television and books, alongside editorial illustration for AIDS-awareness comics in Mozambique and land-mine safety workshops in Kabul.
That’s the eye we handed a wine label to — someone used to saying a lot with very little, fast, and without losing the joke or the feeling.

Satire, caricature and social commentary across newspapers, TV, advertising and books — plus murals and educational illustration from Rome to Kabul.
Michele drew VinAnima’s heart-in-a-glass mark for Vino da Merenda. The simplicity was doing all the work — so it ended up on more than just the bottle.
