Producing wine since the 1950s, both grandfathers’ land was merged in 1999 to create a vineyard dedicated to the little-known Tai Rosso, the “Venetian Tocai.” Eight hectares in Barbarano Vicentino, at the base of the Berici Hills — rocky outcrops of mainly red chalk, once upon a time submerged beneath the sea.
