Timorasso is a red wine in a white dress — structured, savoury, almost tannic in the grip it leaves on the palate. Most white grapes fade politely after a year or two; this one is just getting started. Give it five, ten, twenty years and it turns waxy, honeyed, faintly petrol — closer to an aged Riesling than anything else grown nearby.
Timorasso nearly disappeared from these hills altogether. Daniele was one of the original Timorasso Boys, the small handful of growers who spent decades bringing the native white back from near-extinction — farming the same hillside organically and biodynamically ever since.
